Here at the Sogno Winery, we pride ourselves on growing100% organic Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. For many years we also grew Sangiovese, but unfortunately, much of our vines were destroyed in the freeze of 2012. After several years of downtime to renovate the vineyard, we’ll be officially re-opening our doors on July 31, 2017. We hope you’ll join us for our grand re-opening.
The Sogno Winery is operated by Sarah Brown, whose parents left the vineyard to her in 2013. Coming from an Italian family wine was a part of her life growing up, we had it with dinner and special occasions. She grew up surrounded by family at every special occasions and there was always enough food for an army and many, many bottles of wine.
In the earlier part of her career, she worked as a Sommelier in various restaurants in both Los Angles and later in Manhattan. This gave her the connections she needed to later become an importer and winery operator. She imports wines from all over the world to be sold in smaller boutiques across the US, and continues on with the family tradition of growing outstanding grapes on the family vineyard.
Not only is she a lover of wine, but she has always associated wine with happy memories and family. It has been part of our culture for thousands of years. Wine is joy, friendship and celebration.
